Since I entered into college,I began to write diary everyday;moreover,my major is English,so I want to improve my English level in this way. That's my originate purpose. But now,it's the essential part of my life.If I did not write one day,I would think it isn't a complete day.It is used to record my college life.Whereas, all of people can do it because it's a hard and long process. Many my friends write diary everyday like me,but they give it up finally. What about you?whether you could keep it?

I'm an English major, too! ::smiles:: I love writing and everything that goes along with it - the thought process, the actual act of pen moving across paper, the smell of the ink - everything. So, to me, writing in a journal seemed like second nature. I started writing in a journal when I was eleven and kept up with the practice until I was seventeen or eighteen. At that point, I threw them all away (it was multiple volumes) because my privacy was being viloated. It wasn't until I was twenty-two that I was able to pick up personal writing in my journals again. I've written nearly everyday since and, like you, my day doesn't feel complete unless I've written a page or two in my journal. I write about my thoughts, feelings, what's angering me, what's making me happy, school happenings, family things, to do lists, goals, dreams and so on. It's very much an active, breathing part of my life. I know I'd shut down if I was told I wouldn't be able to do it anymore.

I'm glad to share your opinion. It has been an essential part of life.I think it will disappear with our life.It could be our life, our life journey.Do your think so?

It's funny you mention the word journey because I make handmade journals and alter "ugly" journals using the word "journey" as part of the title on the covers. Yes, I agree that it could be a life journey.
