London/ Manchester Attractions

I'm going on a holiday to London and Manchester. So I'm wondering which places must be visited and what's the cheapest way of getting around? Is the London Pass a wise choice, considering I'm not insterested in the castles and many musuems at all?

And about London Pass, well it offers also benefits in public transport, shops, restaurants and attractions as The London Zoo, The aquarium etc... so just think about it...
