hello all, recntly i watched a video showing the disastrous living conditions of chickens bred for slaughtering. the video also showed many other forms of cruelty against animals. for eg:- ripping off the fur from the body of an animal who is still alive and moaning in pain. at first i was shocked and at that very moment i decided to give up non-neg food. Kentucky fried chicked or KFC breeds more than 750 million chickens annualy and an undercover investigation carried out by the team of peta (people of ethical treatment of animals) showed in what conditions they are bred and also the cruelty faced by them by the employees at kfc. employees were kicking chickens as if they were football and throwing them on walls and jumping on them as if they were toys. this is just a small part of thier story. when a chicken borns, its entire life is full of sufeering right from the moment it hatches till its is slaughtered. i have seen the reality and i wish everybody sees it soon.

thankfully not all animals raised for meat undergo such horrific conditions. sadly the majority of animals raised for meat do. I eat meat, but I also beleive that factory farming is an inexcusable abomination. to avoid factory farmed meat you should by free range, and if at all possible, organic meat (more expensive, so eat it less often, it's not vital that every meal should have meat) go to farmers markets and butchers, where you can ask first hand what sort of conditions the animal was raised under. not only is it more ethical, but this meat tastes better too, as it's not full of chemicals to make it grow too fast and to stop it getting diseases in the disgusting overcrowding. if free range or organic is too expensive, lamb is a good meat to choose, as it is cheaper and easier to raise it free range on grass than to factory farm it.

Hi, the solutions are good but still the problem remains that majority of the animals are facing horrific living condition and it can be tackled only through awareness campaigns. but sadly a very few portion of the population is taking interst in animal rights.
