Long Distance Journeys?

I used to like long distance journeys. But my previous job demanded long-distance travel every day, and I got a bit tired of it. Now I stay at home and work from there, which leaves me with all my precious time for observing all my favourite things in the nature that surrounds my house in the village. I have a good internet connection that keeps me in touch with my friends. I am planning for a holiday that involves a long distance journey now, and I am thrilled. I did not enjoy long travels for my work, but see how excited I am about this holiday! I hope it would give me a lot of time to enjoy the things I see and the friendships I make. What are your views on long distance journeys?

Well to me, travel is one of the most exciting things in life. I love visiting new places, new people, new cultures - the further away the better, because I think without travel we will never broaden our horizons and understand the world. In my life I've been fortunate to travel a lot - not just for my work, but because I had a Russian Mother and I have an Argentine partner, so I have to travel a lot for family stuff as well. The idea of staying in one place all my life actually scares me! So I hope you have a great trip!!

Well thanks for asking mivaig - Lily is still very sick, but she was at least, a little brighter when I visited this morning. I'm sorry I don't get on here so much nowadays - since coming back from holiday I don't seem to have much time, but I appreciate your welcome back.

That seems like a good plan, and that too for a noble cause! All the Best.

I have enjoyed traveling to see my children. I like traveling by car so that I can stop when I am tired or when I see something interesring. It once took my daughter 8 hours to trave what ususally took 4 hours because we stoped and looked at all the wild flowers along the way. That was the year of my interest in wild flowers. I still am but don't have the transportation any more.

Well I will love to go on a long distance journey however my job hardly gives me any time so that I can plan a long journey. But still I make sure that I plan out a long distance joutney once in a year and that is at beginning of winters.
