Border collies certainly are very clever and need to be kept occupied. I have a cocker spaniel named Merlin. Hence my username and my avatar. He is quite clever. My children trained him to pick up his litter. Now he collects things and expects a reward. It is quite useful when he brings in the mail.

I don't see any pictures. Am I missing something??? I have a dachshund and a shepard mix. They are very good and learning how to deal with each other. Brownie ( dachshund) is 7 and he was used to being the only dog for so many years. Roscoe is a shepard mix that I rescued from the SPCA a few weeks ago. I have pictures of all my babies on my profile. I hope to come back and see your doggies .. Tom and Patch are great names and I love border collies.
