can u tell me the meaning of palmistry?

i think palmistry is done when a "palm expert" or plamist, whatever you call that, is analyzing your personality and future through your palms. i dont know how accurate my answers, but that's pretty much my knowledge on palmistry.

Palmistry is a Science they say, where the future and past of a person can be announced just by looking at the lines of the palm! There are many books available in the market from which you can have a fair idea about it! This science seems to be a pretty old one and is almost exists every corner of the world ! Though people say it is science I don't believe in this as I believe like any other science student that the lines of palm are developed because of the joints we are having in the palm. Because of using these joints for various purposes these lines are formed to provide a proper place from which the palm can be folded efficiently! But at the same time I read that the lines of the palm are having nerve endings beneath them which are directly connected to the brain and depending upon the status of the brain the lines are also getting changed! I have read several books on palmistry and I gathered some know how about the subject but I still don't have any faith in this science! In the past some King has ordered to Chop off the head of a person who found indulged in the science of Palmistry , as the king felt that this was making their people believers of blind faith ! The book written by 'Cheiro' a well know Palmist of his time from west has mentioned few incidents which have proved to be true, as predicted by him! Yes like palmists say the lines of our hand or palm do get changed from time to time ! Initially I have only one head line in my right palm , but now I a having two head lines and both are bold type! I don't know what it means actually but if we seen according to palmistry it implies two images of same person! Some people recognise such person with double head lines for a reason and other people will recognise him for some other reason! It seems cheiro also had two such lines in his hand! Well what ever may be the thing , it is very natural for any human being to be curious about ones future and to en cash this curiosity i think many people are posing themselves as palmists and they are making good money! Palmistry is when you read someone's future by looking at the lines in their palms. Like the fortuneteller does.
