I try to do it.
I haven't done it all the time because I forget but I should go back and do it. (which I will be doing) I think it's important to give someone it at the least.

Yes I always choose a BR but sometimes it takes me a while.I ususally let my discussions pile up for a while then I go through and pick the best response. It's one of those things that I hate doing.I have a hard time because I often find more then one that are very good.I wish you could chose more then one.Hugs

I have to confess that I don't always. Sometimes there are several equally good responses, and I don't like having to judge between them. Other times the discussion only gets one or two responses, and I want to leave them in case someone else discovers them later, and the discussion gets going again.
Secondly, when I first started asking questions here, I experimented with asking some pretty mundane ones. I didn't start the chocolate or vanilla discussion, but I started others similar ones, and unless anyone came in with a particularly witty tangential response, all the answers were pretty much the same.
I actually haven't started any discussions in a long time, mainly because I feel so guilty about the "best response" feature, both when I use it and when I don't. I've never been big on situations where I have to subjectively judge the work of another person. I'd be a terrible art or writing teacher because I'd have such a hard time giving grades.

I think that you might get extra points for best response, but I am not sure.
I always pick best response, unless there is only one response and it is useless. Once I started a discussion asking if you worry about what your teens are doing , knowing what you did at their age. I only had one response and it said "no". I didn't think that I would even justify that with a best response.

I am yet to start discussions. Infact I did start one or two, witout much success. There were hardly any responses. I did not feel to choose best response b/w one or two responses. But I plan to do it regularly, if I happen to start some good active discussions. Regards
