There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: Ecclesiates 3:1
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6
- there are no short cuts to maturity.
- God views our lives from and for eternity, so He is never in a hurry.
- While worry about how fast we grow, God unconcerned about how strong we can grow.
Why does it take long?
1. We are slow learners
2. We have a lot to unlearn
3. We are afraid to humbly face the truth about themselves.
4. Growth is often painful and scarry.
5. Habits take time to develop.
Dont get in a hurry:
1. believe God is working in our life even if you dont feel it.
2. Keep a journal or notebook on lessons learned.
-insights
-life lessons
-about Him
-about yourself
-about life
-relationships
3. be patient with God and with yourself
4. Dont get discouraged

Chapter 28: It takes Time
MY reflection:
As a christian for 6 years, I can hardly see the growth that I have in the Lord. I seem to think if I really have learned something from the Lord. I have seen my church mates and how they have really matured in the Lord and I envy them and I even came to the point of asing myself, when can I see spiritual children grwoign in the Lord and serving Him and also helping others gorw. It has been a great desire to start this but I want to start it with a pure commitment in my heart. Coz I dont want to start with a half hearted commitment coz it wont bring my anywhere.

Yes, there is always more to learn. So, just do what you think is best for you to be closer to God.
