Is the rate fixed or does it change after a certain period of time?

The rate is not fixed. When I signed up about 2 years ago, the rate was 3.0%. Ever since then it's only gone up! ING (and possibly Emingrant Savings Bank) are have the most competitive rates in the market. Over at Bank of America (where I have my checking account), you don't even collect interest on saving accounts! By the way, I love your avatar!
