Reusable shopping bags

I just talked my husband into using canvas bags so either we have to get more now (I only have two) or I need to start making some. I have a lot of canvas on hand but I'm not sure it is a strong enough weight to handle constant use. We've been using plastic bags and recycling them, but they pile up quickly and get everywhere in between uses. At least with the canvas bags they can be folded and put away in between uses and used over and over again. I honestly don't know why the idea of switching to them didn't hit me sooner.lol. I'll have to look into Chico bags.

I have a few canvas bags but for some reason I keep forgetting that I need more. I really like using them for other things too, like throwing a bunch of toys in when we visit family, clothes for overnight-they can be used for so many things!

I have some canvas bags and the supermarkets around here sell or give you re-usable carrier bags. One super market gives you a re-usable bag every time you bring back 5 of the old carrier bags for recycling which is good as I have hundreds of the things.

I've only recently started to use the reusable shopping bags. I bought a few at the local grocery store after eyeing them a few times during my shopping trips there. However I tend to forget to bring them into the store with me from time to time, but I am getting better! :P The store I got them from gives me 5 cents off per bag every time I bring them in, which to me is pretty cool. :) I also use these bags at other grocery stores that I go to, though these stores don't give me a discount for using reusable bags. :P Oh well, at least I'm using reusable bags now, and to me that is more important than some discount. :)

What's a Chico bag? I have a couple of canvas bags that I am pretty good about remembering to bring to the store with me. I also keep a supply of recycled plastic bags in my car so until I have enough canvas to do a whole load of groceries I can keep recycling the plastic.

well, I haven't start using those yet. In Malaysia this concept is still not very popular and everybody is trying to get more plastic bag from a shopping mall, so that they can use the plastic bags as rubbish bags.. I'll try to get some canvas bag soon for my shopping..

I did real well with this for a couple of months last year then I kept forgetting to take them! I work at Wal-mart and do almost all of my shopping when I get off work. But I keep forgetting to grab my cloth bags when I live in the morning. But I conserve them as much as I can through out the night (I'm cashiering) and when I shop too. I try to use as little as possible.

Herein india we are usin bamboo handled jute coloured bag capability of ten kilograms weight to do with our bazaar or shopping visits. Only with supermarket and malls they are issuing plastic reusable bags those also to be denied by people to avert the dangers of plastic. Also in retail shops while delivering groceries merchants offering plastic bags must be denied by customers by having our own jute or cloth bags. Why to rely on plastic rely on nature fibres bags.

i like using bags which are of good quality. i prefer to use it over the plastic and paper bags which easily are torn when you tend to put heavy items on it. it is my way of helping the environment.
