Im not saying that, if you have lots of children you are poor. But in the philippines, as i observed, the poor ones but not all, have more than 3 children as compared with richer families. and rich familes commonly bear only 1 to 2. Any explanation for this?

it could be because they have nothing else to do but do more children? hehe but rally, i think they are not very stressed like some regular families who has to work everyday and find money and a better lives for their children, less worries means they have more tendencies to get pregnant....

It has a scientfic reson that their enjouyment is limited & that is only & only reason that makes the chance to take more child. Another reason may be that they are not aware about that or they not feel it like that way. Not only Philippines but alos it is really spread in Bangladesh. You comparison is as true as you say for Bangladesh. Now a days, Government has taken necessary step to prevent this problem has taken few necessary steps to grow awareness among the people here & most for the poor on...

I guess this happens mostly in the provinces especially in the remote areas. It might be because they have no education about family planning and they have no past time to do. hehehehe. They doesn't care about their children's future. Just my point of view.

yes I agree. poor have more children for some don't have job and more time or the family. they always stay at home and have nothing to do so just as a result, they make their lives more poor. The Philippines is by no means an exception to the disparity between the abundance and wealth of the few and the deprivation and degradation of the many. The major reason for the phenomenon of failure is that the people know far too little about poverty and about its effects upon the lifestyle of individuals, families and communities. The continuous maladjustment of families to the minimum demands of their own members is not well understood. As a result, they just do their thing and have ore children for they have nothing more to do. I have been studying this for my research paper and had only gathered some information. :)

In our country, it is not allowed to have more than one baby in cities, but it is allowed for those peasants to have two babies, if the first baby is not a boy. They have to do some hard work in the farm. It is hard to earn more and more money for poor people, so they think that if they have some big trouble, children can do a help. For old poor ones, if they are ill, one child can't pay for the expense of medicine.

It's been a question long time ago. Maybe it's because of the lifestyle. As what other says these people were not too busy working nor earning for their living, so it's been extra curricular to make baby. I know it's somehow silly answer but that is one of the fact. In some point it's maybe because of education, knowledge in responsible family planning. When i say responsible family planning it does not necessary deals with contraceptives, but thinking of being a responsible parent to their children , examining if they are capable of providing what their children needs, shelter, love, attention and education. In poor area, mostly these things has been set aside, but face it after the baby exist already.
