Why do the referee's wave off good goals?

Watching the Red Wings, I've noticed that it's hard to win a game when the referees are waving off good goals. The referees also call penalties where there are none. It makes it even more difficult to win. When I first started watching hockey there were only two refs. Now there are three (two line, and one ref). I think maybe they need to put a couple more on the ice, just kidding of course. After all that when we do win it makeit all worth the b.s.

the onlookers will always be able to see the errors that referees commit. then, the next problem that we have to deal with is, the fact that, we cannot dispute their decision. it is really difficult to do the task of a referee. referees do their best to be able to come out with a right decision on a split second sight of how things went. let us always take this into consideration also.

I agree, a referees job is quite difficult. It doesn't make it any easier, when they penalize one team more than the other. Its almost like they have it out for certain teams. Then again it is what makes those teams stronger.
