Do you know that it takes 2-3.5 tons of trees to make a ton of paper? I just learned it from an article I've read recently. It also says that recycling one ton of paper saves 17 trees and 7,000 gallons of water. It struck me personally because I usually just crumple used paper and consider it trash...unaware that I'm not helping in saving trees. From then on, I made a commitment to help by doing a little recycling and reusing papers. I gather papers from old reports, projects unused office documents and cut it in 4s and use it as request forms in our laboratory instead of using new ones or buying commercially prepared blank forms. Not only I'm cutting down my expenses but also helping in saving trees. I'm sharing this to all of you guys because I wonder what a nice world we will all have if all myLotters will be aware and join me in recycling and reusing paper, thus helping our world by saving trees and water. Let me hear your opinion and ideas about this matter and let's encourage all myLotters in doing our part in making this world a better place to live in...not only for us but for the generations to come.

I absolutely agree with recycling. But don't forget the first two Reduce, Reuse. Reducing and Reusing will help to keep things from having to be recycled. It is great to use paper as scrap after one side has been used. Also I by 100% recycled paper new. A good company is Cascades. They make a great paper from the paper that we are throwing in the blue box! It is amazing the stats on how much carbon is reduced and water saved and the other important part is that Cascades uses Hydrogen Peroxide to bleach the paper white instead of Sodium Hypochlorite. Good on everyone that cares to take that extra step to the recycle bin. There is still hope.

I agree. We should all use less paper and paper products and recycle what paper products we do use.

Let the human's suffer from without trees and without paper . The climate towards the world mainly maintained by forests and treesonly . If deforestation took place we are he sufferers. The selfish motto of human tendency to change towards the animals birds and species of water and sky and lands. Instead saving the trees let us atleast plant a tree for a family and maintain upto atleast twenty foot height to save our worlds' climate so that we can live and birds animals and species can live together with good climate and in normal climate condition.
