Sharing a special bond with online friends

A friend of mine and I met at a writing site almost five years ago. He has been a great friend over the years. He thinks the world of my family and I his. I hope to some day meet him. Do you have any online friends that you share a very special bond with that you have known for a long time?

I am a 16 year friend of Bill W. I have AOL as my ISP. AOL has various chat rooms and one of them is Friends of Bill W. I visit that room a lot. In 17 years of having AOL I have visited that specific room. Now I have met many great friends from that room both here from Minnesota USA and from other states. I have one friend in particular that lives in Milwaukee that I have visited several times there. He has also traveled here to visit me. It's become a great friendship all starting from online. I also finally met a newer friend from this same chat room. The thing that's funny is that I've known this man since sobering up 16 years ago and he also is from my home club. We never knew nor discussed our online names. That was hilarious to us both having known each other so long and having been in the same chat room this long yet never knwoing it was each other.
