a news article published today says that three cups of tea daily is better for you than plain water. news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health I've been brought up to believe that plain water is always best for your health. especially the health of your kidneys. however this study says that tea contains anti-oxidents that help to prevent cell damage. tea also rehydrates better than water. it protects against tooth plaque and bone decay. more tea, everyone!

Are you suggesting that we prefer drinkin tea to plain water? Anything in excess is a problem... even excess water, you drink a 1.5 litre bottle in one go.. It is dangerous. Regarding the studies they will go on... They will find out new things about things which we have in our daily life.. But it is in our best interest not to take something excessively nor neglecting something altogether..

If I did not remember wrongly, there was a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) article that promotes drinking tea over other beverages. The Chinese have always belief that drinking tea can bring about a whole host of benefits, from better health to radiant skin...etc. This is especially so if you drink green tea. With every benefits, there is bound to be some not so good properties. For example, too much green tea will lead to constipation. Did the western study include findings on which teas are better?
