Would you get mad if somebody revealed the plot of the book you are reading?

All you book lovers, Isnt that annoying? Nothing worser than a nasty spoiler! Would you still read the book after knowing the climax? or curse the person and never touch the book again? Nothing gets me more madder than when somebody reveals me the ending. I get so so pi$$ed off! but I still read the book, but with less interest.

i can understand your reaction. it will be fine for others to do some talking if we had asked their opinion about the book and as to how the story goes and went off until the end of it.

when something like this happens to me, i will still keep on with my reading. this time though, i will read it fast. since i already know how the story goes, i do not see any sense at all about going through it with the same ardour as i had when nothing was revealed to me about the story. yes, i get disappointed too, whenever someone does it to me. and just like you i will still proceed and finish with whatever that i have started to read. the fun maybe lessened but the experience will still be there.

I can never abandon a book. Though, I'd read it with less interest and yes it might go at a faster pace. But I say the experience would be terrible for me :( So next time someone does that to me, i'd punch him real hard on the nose so he'd have a thing to remember not to get between me and my book. :D

Sometimes I ask my friends what a book is all about to see if it's worth reading. But when I'm already reading it and some wise-guy just comes by and tells me the end I could just kill him...

It is horrible. It's particularly bad when it's a really well known book like Harry Potter or something like that that everybody is talking about. You can't help but overhear even when someone isn't trying to spoil it for you. I haven't read half the books but i know what happens!

While I usually dislike being told how a certain book will end, I can't say I get angry about it. Because I like reading books and also because the journey is more important that the destination so to speak :) So even if I know my destination (how the book will end) I still enjoy travelling (reading through the book) if not for anything else at least out of curiosity of finding out what lead to that ending in the first place.

Right! the journey, as you put it, holds my interest and thats why I still stick on to the book even after knowing what my destination is. :)

not really.. i dont really listen when someone's talking about the book that im reading. sometimes, knowing about the plot or having at least a clue about it perks up my interest in the book. its okay, most of the time, but well sometimes it does piss me off too. especially if its really exciting and im almost in the best part of the story.

Ofcourse i will be if they would rveale the plot of the book or he movie that i am reasing, it would probably ruin all of the excitment. And then i will have to ask myself, why they did this think? And usually the conclusion is going to be not good.

Yea. In a way. Why read on if you know they are revealing the plot? You always have the choice to stop reading. And if someone is telling you, just ask him to shut up or you will get mad.
