I have just come back from a shopping trip and had to share this with all of you in MyLot land. I was outside a well-known store chain in the city, when a lady stopped me and asked if I would mind answering a few questions. Normally I don't bother but it was raining and I reckoned it was better to stay in the warm and dry for a short while longer so I agreed.
She was doing a survey on customer preferences and after a couple of questions, she hit me with this one."What do you prefer to wear, lingerie or plain underwear""What colours do you prefer"After I stopped giggling and I replied that I preferred lingerie and black or purple. She also asked if I would like to see lingerie more readily available in larger sizes, to which I replied "Definitely yes"So, I am passing this on on to you here,What do you prefer - sexy lingerie or plain pants?What colours do you like/what colours do you not like?

Hello,recycledgoth,I think sexy lingerie is only for those who have a boyfriend now,lingerie is to be worn for the purpose of partners(in addition to the basic functions),I do not have any boyfriend now and I do not need to 'show' my lingerie to anymore,so i prefer to have plain pants. I like black or red color.

I love sexy lingerie although don't wear it all the time - plain pants are far cheaper! When it comes to lingerie it depends on my mood and what I am wearing what colour I wear but I love pink to feel feminine and black to vamp it up and white is of course for those days when I like to pretend I am young and innocent again!

LOL definitely black to vamp it up, so far I think the sexy is winning over the sensible :-)
The only UK store with decent sizes is Evans and they don't have much of a selection unfortunately.

Hehe what strange questions to be asked in the street! Well i like sexy underwear because it makes me feel more confident about myself. Though i'm a photographer and have to do a lot of bending over so thongs aren't that great! I mostly wear black lacy things. :] I don't like huge pants and i would prefer not to wear white underwear, unless i'm wearing a white top.

Some of the market researchers have to ask some very odd questions, this one just struck me as funny. I'm not keen on thongs, a friend of mine calls them *cheese wire* - lol. Another vote for black and lacy, thank you. :-)

Thanks hun, you don't seem to see much in those colours these days, here it's mainly black or red. A nice green sound good.

Ya know, it irks me that more lingerie doesn't come in plus sizes. I tire of seeing the "old lady" jammies. I want something that is sexy, fits well, comfortable, and stylish.

Annoying isn't it hun. I saw a gorgeous outfit in a catelogue not long ago, but they didn't do it in plus size. All I found in the book for *me* size was a rather bland cotton nightie :-(

While I appreciate sexy lingerie, for me it's just not practical to be used as everyday wear. Can you imagine trying to do housework and chase after kids in a lacey g-string? No thank you. I'd be digging it out of places that I shouldn't have to dig into during my normal waking hours. *ROFL*
Of course, once the kids are tucked into bed I love to slip into something a little sexier for my husband's viewing pleasure. I've noticed that most of those undies are pink, I guess I just gravitate more towards that color for some reason.

I'll bet there are not many women who say "plain" LOL. We girls love pretty, soft, things. They might not look so great when we're wearing them but they look great in our drawers and when we hang them on the line. I love plain black & white, timeless navy and burgundy, all the peacock colours and gem colours, vibrant, rich colours and all the soft pretty pastels, lilac, aqua, pretty, pink, baby blue, soft lemon, peach, there are lots of lovely soft greens. I don't like dull colours.

I love the gem colours, rather than the pastels really. I have some lovely purple, scarlet, and blue undies and a gorgeous purple satin corset I wear for clubbing sometimes :-) Thanks for your comments hun, I guess another vote for the pretty :-)

I can only imagine the expression on your face, when you found out it wasn't about something you didn't have knowledge of. Speaking as a man I'm ..uh..mm, sorry I'm trying to phrase my words carefully.. here. Please bear with me. OK, as I was trying to say was that It wouldn't mattered to me.. which ever she like of course.. but in all honesty I don't mind the T-shirt and pant or just a t-shirt kind of woman. Although, lingerie can obviously make things a lot or little more interesting for her partner (him or me).

Lol I was out in your area shopping last week as I was up visiting my mother and needed to do some retail therapy - we could have been in the shop lol! Well for me all my underwear apart from a couple of basques and one set of knickers & bra is black (the others are red) It's pretty pointless me buying any other colour as I only wear black as a rule! Oh I have got one white bra that I only use if I'm wearing a white blouse for work, which is very very rarely!

Hmmm... if the question is what I prefer to wear, the answer is plain cotton panties or some cute boy-cut shorts, I like comfy satin and silky fabrics. I try to avoid itchy lace and uncomfortable wires and strings for everyday wear. I do like sexy lingerie, but not to wear all the time. And my favourite colours for it are purples, chocolate brown, or black. I have the odd bright pink set, but chocolate brown really suits my skintone :)

I would have to say that-even though I'm what is called "pleasingly plump," I still like very feminine lingerie. I don't have anyone (a partner) in my life right now, but I still like to look good and smell good and just be a girl.lol

ALthough occasionally I will indulge in some nice lingerie, I really prefer cotton.It's healthier and comfortable.
Lace tends to irritate my skin so I have to be careful.
As for colors I don't really have preferences. I like colors but different colors attract me at different times. I don't like pastels too much, if I choose color I usually like bright colors.

Most of the time, I prefer regular underwear, but in a wide array of colors and patterns. I usually will only wear fancy lingerie on special occasions. Plain underwear is just much more comfortable, if you ask me. :)
