I was impressed that she admitted to Justin that she was involved in making the kiss with Joe happen, and I hope that she will confess this to Sarah too. Now that Joe and Sarah are apart, I realize that I really did like them together. I hope they will work it out.
It was interesting to hear more of Rebecca's story in the 5/20 episode. I guess I'm just pretty skeptical where she is concerned, because I wondered if she was telling Justin the whole truth last night. Maybe she is, and maybe that's all there is to the story. I still suspect that she is hiding something and has much darker motives than any of them think.
What do you guys think about this?

I keep flipping back and forth when it comes to Rebecca. I decide one day that she is 'out to get' the Walkers for some kind of revenge because they had her father and she didn't. Then I decide she's a mixed up girl just looking to be loved and accepted.
I'm thinking now that she made the move on Joe because he understood her feelings of being an outsider when it came to the family. Then she thought about it, and on top of being hurt by the rejection when he pulled away, told Justin about it.
Then after all this is stirred up, she starts to feel guilty for hurting the people that she really wants to be close to. They are really trying to make her feel like one of the family, and she has to see that they are making an effort.
The only thing that gets me is the remark Holly made to Nora. It makes it seem that there could really be something darker about her. But who knows if the writers will follow through with that. Or if it was just a passing thought. Maybe they really haven't even decided what direction they are going to take the character yet.
Either way, I can hardly wait to see what happens next season!

First, I just read the other comments and who cares if you have "alot" of discussions about TV shows? TV is a form of entertainment just as being on a site like myLot is in some ways, that doesn't mean you need to "get a life".
I'm not sure what to think about Rebecca's motives; she should've just kept her mouth shut about the kiss, but then they wouldn't have that storyline, would they? It's sure going to be interesting when it comes back on in the fall. I also wonder, will Robert win the election and marry Kitty, making her First Lady? I must say, I'm a Democrat but he'd get MY vote...LOL... I hope Sarah and Joe work things out and I really think Nora needs some real romance, how 'bout it?

Thank you so much. I just reread that stuff when I saw that I had a new response on this discussion, and it still irks me to read over it. Thank you so much for your supportive response. I had just approved your friend request before I read your response and now I'm doubly glad I did!
I am getting excited that this show will be starting again for the new season soon. I am interested to see what happens about Rebecca's character. I think she could still go either way, and I'm more and more inclined to think that Holly is the truly evil one. All of those years of being second best to the family must have made her bitter.
And, like you, I am anything BUT Republican, but Rob Lowe would get my vote any day! I wish we had someone as reasonable and charismatic as him really running.... although all of the divorce and dating your press secretary then getting engaged to her stuff (not to mention his nutty family) would keep him from being elected in the real world, wouldn't it?
I don't care for Sarah, but I would like to see her and Joe work things out, and I wouldn't mind seeing the Treat Williams character come back as a serious love interest for Nora. I thought they were very cute together.

I think you watch too much TV.
It's just a show. Go get a life that is more interesting than what fictional characters are doing on TV once a week.

I think it's a shame that you felt the need to take the time to send a hurtful response to my discussion. If it's not interesting to you, then why not just go find something out there that IS? You don't know a thing about my life and I'd really prefer that you not speculate. Have a pleasant day.

Isn't there more in your life to talk about?

I appreciate your apology, but again, you really know nothing at all about me, even after taking a look at my discussions. Your assessment was faulty, and incorrect, but even if you had been right on the money with it... it's none of your business. There are 93 thousand of us out here on myLot, and I think there's plenty of room for different personalities and interests. I don't really understand why you took it upon yourself to judge someone in this manner, but I do thank you again for apologizing. Bye now.

I think Rebecca is just a hurt little girl looking for a father figure. Joe is much older and cute. Didn't she have the same problem with a teacher in Chicago? It just hurt her feelings so much when he pulled away and she wanted to hurt him back. She knew that Justin wouldn't be able to not tell Sarah, she was his sister first. I think Rebecca just wants to be loved.

I loved the scene where they all jumped in the pool :) I really don't think she has darker motives, I just think she has a history of likeing older men and teachers, maybe she is looking for a father figure, since she didn't have one growing up. I do think she is starting to like the family though.

Maybe not. I think it sucks though that Justin has left now. The only person that she could have relied on for some sorta support left. I think she should definitely tell Sarah, but it's going to be a rough one. It may help Sarah though with getting back together with her hubby.
