This weekend ~ Foghat ~

It is festival season here is North Texas where I live (US).
Each weekend we have our choice of some art fesitval, music festival, food festival or some other kind of cultural festival..... it is so much fun.
Last weekend I shared in a post about how exciting it was to see Chris Daughtry perform live ..... we was the rocker from lost season's American Idol.
Well this weekend was a true music festival with 3 large stages and several small stages for a variety of entertainment. The biggest band I say was Foghat.
Any classic rockers out there remember Foghat????? 'Slow Ride' was the only song of theirs that my husband and I could think of and we even joked about whether or not they would be any good. We were pleasantly surprised!!! They sound great live and had a crowd of thousands and thousands really rocking. Turns out they had several hit songs. Can you remember any of their hit songs???????

I've never heard of Foghat-- until you said Slow ride- I remember that song- Must have been before my time though- Perhaps my parents listened when I was growing up? I love festivals- Sounds like you live in a great place-- every weekend some kind of festival! So there is always something to do! How fun! Our small town puts on concerts every Saturday day- No one too big- but it's still fun to go watch!

Foghat! Man, I loved them in the late '70s and beyond, I remember seeing them on TV on Midnite Special and Don Kischner's Rock Concert. Besides Slow Ride, I remember Fool for the City and their kick-butt version of the old tune I Just Wanna Make Love to You. I'd try to see them if they were playing near me.

Yep. All of those songs were really crowd pleasers. Definitely see them live if you get a chance. There sound in wonderful.

Well, that is just so good for you. I don't really remember Foghat at all. I was born in the early 1980's but I still don't know all the musicians around that time or before.

I know the song Slow Ride, but didn't regonize the name Foghat at all. lol So glad you enjoyed it though. And were pleasently surprised on how good they were. That's always a plus.
