Jack and Kate: Do they have a chance together?

On the sneak preview of the season finale we see Jack turning to what we think is Kate saying I love you. Do you think they have a chance to get together? Their tension has been an underlying story since the beginning when she sews up his shoulder. But with Kate getting all "buddy, buddy" with Sawyer, how far do you think that the Jack and Kate story angle can go?

Kate had only turned to Sawyer because of loneliness or dispare!
I think that Jack and Kate really love each other and will sort it out eventually.
I just saw 'Kate' on Regis and Kelly. She says that the next show will enlighten us as to the direction of the next 3 years.Also that Lost is signed for 3 more years so we know it will stretch out for a while longer.

I am so glad that: 1. They will be on for 3 more seasons and 2. They did actually announce an end for the show. This way it will end the way that they would like. Kate sorta worked herself into a pickle, or at least that's what she thinks. I think Jack's recent indifference to her is partially fake. I think he does definitely care about her still and we may see next season that progressing further. Thanks for the comment.

Personally, I find jack to be an arrogant pompous you-know-what. He's gotten worse as time has gone on. "I haven't decided what to do about it", "it's my plan", "I'm the leader"....so if you ask me, Kate should cut her ties and run. Besides, I wouldn't trust Jack as far as I could toss Hurley. Which isn't really that far.
Sawyer's ego is a facade. He acts all tough and tumble, but has really shown his caring side when things matter. Actually I think Sawyer needs a real woman. He can do better than Kate.

hah...yes he probably could do better than Kate. I think Jack's recent pompousness has to do with something we might not know about yet. He has acted a little off since he came back.....hopefully it will be explained in the season finale.

I am not sure who kate was saying I love you to. But if it was jack. I will bet that when sawyer finds out. Thwere will be a fight between jack and sawyer. It seems like them two are always going at each others throats. So I can see this angle being a good possiblity.

Was it Kate saying it to Jack or Jack saying it to Kate? I would definitely be interesting if it was Kate saying it to Jack. hmmmm...... Either way, I think Sawyer realizes he's being used. (He's probably not thrilled by it, but....) Though Sawyer is a hot head, I think he would step-s-side for a while at least.

I don't think they'll ever get together. Since seeing the season 3 finale, I am pretty sure that Kate and Sawyer are married. I think that because Kate says "he is going to wonder where I am" I think she is referring to Sawyer. I don't like Jack much any more, so I'd prefer that she was with Sawyer ;) x

I think I disagree with almost every answer. I think Kate really loves Sawyer. I think her feelings are genuine but she still feels this "connection" or daddy complex with Jack. She doesn't want to let herself go with Sawyer because she is afraid. I think because Jack was trhe first to know about her "past" and accept her, she feels some sort of "guilt" It's almost as if she is constantly looking for and craving his acceptance and doesn't want to upset him. She has much more chemistry with Sawyer and I like him a whole hell of a lot better than Jack anyway. So far Jack has "fallen" for Kate, ANa Lucia, and now Juliette. If they off Juliette, there will be another woman coming out of the woodwork. Lets not forget his wife, the woman he left for his wife, and the asian woman on the beach. Jack is all over the place with his emotions.

I think Kate love Jack, and for Sawyer, she sympathizes him. At first, she seems hate Sawyer and help Jack with a lot of things. After she knows the thing Sawyer suffered in his childhood, she changed her thought.In season 3,when they are caught by others,Kate helped Sawyer,and do a lot of thing with Sawyer,such as kiss and make love. And Jake meets Julite,he saw what Kate do with Sawyer,I think his thought is changed. He brings her to the beach, and treats her well. Kate envis and makes love with Sawyer.
I think Kate love Jack, but Kate as a culprit,Jack may not get together with her.
