If you don't have anything nice to say...

Ok, I have to admit, when I hear those words I think of a line from the movie Steel Magnolias.... "If you don't have anything nice to say about anyone... come sit next to me!" But, I really wish that everyone on myLot would follow the saying as it was originally intended, "If you don't have anything nice to say then say nothing at all." Recently, I have seen more and more of what I would deem hurtful myLot comments. I've not been participating nearly as much, and I'm seeing more meanness, so has it grown that much? It's sad to me. This is such a fun place to hang out and exchange thoughts with people who have similar interests. Why do some of these people find it necessary to respond to things that don't interest them just so they can send off some little zinger about why they find the subject (or the myLot member) stupid. I've really just about had it, although I refuse to let those bad apples run me off. I just wish that everyone would try to remember to be nice. If something's not interesting to you, then just keep looking for a discussion that interests you - - or START one of your own - - instead of being mean to people who started their discussions in good faith! PLEASE tell me that most of you agree with me on this!!

I agree. The problem is you have to know how tto think to post something nice and some mylotters can't. They think it is fun to post something mean or hurtful. Fortunely there are more of us than them. All you can do is report is the mean and hurtful stuff. Take Care.

A 100% agree with you. I also sometime feel a little hurt when hurtful comments in my discussion. But I know sometimes they just want to annoy or expressed what they want to comment. But me like yours If there no discussion that interst me so much I just don't intend to comment not good for them about their discussion. I just ignore it and find other discussion that interest me alot.
