sick babies

I am keeping my 10 month old grandson and he is so sick poor little thing..has diarrhea like crazy wont eat but drinks like there is no tomorrow..now i mean sucks it down like he has had not had anything in a week and sleeps alot...he has been doing this since friday...what do u other moms usually do in this situation...cant seem to pacify him at all..
