How do you explain your internet job?

I find it so hard to explain when I tell someone I do internet work to explain it. Most people have no idea what these paid to click and read sites are all about. Do you have a job title that you can tell them, or how do you explain it. I've found in trying to explain it, they get disinterested real quick.

I guess it's because it's something new, Sherry. For example, being a blogger nowadays might be a profession, but almost no-one understands yet. But as it's becoming more and more common, in a while you hopefully won't be in trouble to explain your job anymore! About the job title... Hhmm... Now that's a difficult question! :D

Maybe being an internet blogger doesn't sound to bad. Maybe it could just be explained by writing articles.

"Blogger" sounds like a cool profession to me, but it's specific. If you don't have a blog yet, you should get one and bam, you have your profession title! ;) Ok, it sounds silly to do something like this only because of the title. Don't get angry at my advice, please! Hahaha! :)

Honestly I don't have a job title to tell anyone about. I just tell them that I visit mylot and I get paid so much per post. They often want to know more about it. That is all I say though, but I work part time as a properties clerk at a thrift store too, and a lot of the ladies there ask me all the time about this and I have to go through the whole explanation again lol!

Mine is pretty easy to explain. Freelance copywriter. Some people have no idea what copywriting is, then I have to explain but not very often. I have always wondered though, why do people always want to know what you do? " Hello. What is your name? And what do you do?" Is it an easy way to categorize people? Why must we explain ourselves? I think your job title might be "Network executive" afterall, you are helping the network and you are an executive at your own business. Seems like that might shut 'em up. :D
