Today i was feeding my cat and i thoughtl; "hey, why don't i put a leesh on my cats coller" So i did it then my cat was walking around kinda funny so i decided to take it off. But then a loud noise came and she ran off and i was so terrified when i relised that she could jump off a tree and maybe get her leesh stuck in something therefor hanging her. So i ran around like a mad chicken screaming and crying (right then i didn't relise that it was probabally scaring mt cat) Finially i found my cat sitting on my roof so i got a ladder and brought her down. So the meaning of this true story is... don't put a leesh/lead on you cat!

Lol, i could have told you that meaning of the story before hand! Cats are really not suited to leads/leashes, and unless you ahve brought the cat up being used to one they will not like it one bit, and even if you brought them up that way they might not like it. Cats resist anything that will curtail their freedom!

WOW! I can see how you had a good scare! I am glad you found him and were able to get it off. My cats are indoor cats, they don't even try to go out. But once I put the dogs leash on my Tom out of boredom I reckon. That cat freaked out! Everytime I grabbed the leash he would pull on it like he was trying to hang himself. I like to have never got it off again.

At least it ended good. I have to agree never put a cat on a leash or harness unless you have been working with them since they were a kitten. I use to have a cat that would walk on a leash but not any of my ones I have now.:)

black cat - a picture of a cat
Luckily your cat wasn't hang on tree when she jump up there.Yes i know cats are very aggressive. They won't stay in one place and always attempt to do something when they look at their prey or when they are cheerful and want to play around. So now better not to put a lead on our cat.

Lol I actually tried this once with our cat, Morgana. As soon as I put the leash on her she dropped to her belly with all four legs sticking out and made pitiful sounds like I was torturing her. She wouldn't walk or anything. As soon as I took it off...she bit me and walked away. That'll learn me. LIVE IN PEACE

The idea when you put a leash on an animal dog or cat is for you to hold on so they cant get up a tree or run away!

In case you hadn't noticed, cats and leashes don't play well together...:) My wife did this too, ours is an indoor cat...anyway she got this bright idea to put a slip leash on the cat...who then promptly dropped to the floor, rolled on it's back and started meowing piteously. That cat was NOT happy, and the wife felt kinda bad too. Glad it worked out for you.

lol. That was a funny thought. And I think you had some fun instead of fright! Why do you put the leash on the cat? I ever thought of putting a leash on a 15 month kid, so that I do not have to run after him.

Drakan honey - you poor soul - I know I worry so much about things happening to my cat - she has used up most of her nine lives! I am glad you managed to get your cat safely before she could harm herself! Your post brought back some memories of when my cat was really young - we lived in a bad area and she was still a baby really so we bought her a harness and lead and used to take her for walks! We used to get some funny looks and people laughed but at least Tia got out and was safe, she was also quite happy to stand still while the harness was fitted! We moved after that and she started getting out alone - I cannot imagine her letting us put a leash on her now - let alone a harness! hee hee xxxx

Uh..no If you want to take your cat for a walk i suggest you buy a proper harness and practice walking her around the house. then if she sems comfy enough try carrying her outside and see what happens!!

I'm glad the cat survived. Whatever were you thinking? I bet the cat was siting on tha roof thinking, "Look at that mad chicken. I must get a lead on him at once before he hurts himself." Honestly! Consider your wrist slapped, lesson learned, and be grateful that your cat is so sensible and you have her to look after you! ;-)

i agree with u:) i think there mustn't be any kind of lease put on ur cats. it's because the cats r a bit naughty and free will animal and so they won't like it to wear in the first placeLOL, other than that they r always indulging in advantures so r very likely to fall in an accident;) i never put a lease on any of my cats they were both happy without it and would always come back to me no matter where they were gone.
