What if's....and exceptions

You know guys, i have always hated "what if's", wondering what could have happened if something in my life had been different: if i had said yes to that date, took that plane, etc.
From a rational point of view, what if's are unhealthy, but i know now that there are some exceptions.
When you live something so wonderful, probably the best episode of your life, and that episode ends, many people would try to move on and forget it, because it's obviously easier, cause that way it hurts less. But i think that sometimes it's not the best to do that. Some things and some people in our lives are special, they mark us forever, we're never the same again, and I don't want to go back to who i was one year ago, i want to keep this with me forever, and i will. I know it will imply pain and tears, but in the end the wonderful times we had will always be there, since the feelings will ALWAYS be there, at least from my side, and i know that from the other side too.
So it's time to make an exception to the rule and keep this with me, and why not, wonder what if things had been different, because in this case i KNOW that they would have been wonderful, beyond perfect.
