cats and dogs getting on well together??????

Today the strangest thing happened today. Those of you who have followed my discussions will know i have a rescued labrador called Nero, who sees his duty to protect the family from intruders and to round up the children and a cat called guinness who decimates the neigbourhood's wildlife and spends the nocturnal hours creating replicas of himself, well today things took a bizar turn. After a couple of years of healthy disregard and disrespect (Nero chases Guinness out of the house, Guinness smacks Nero round the nose with his claws) today they actually slept together. Dont know why it happened, hasd peace broken out?

I think that's a really cute story Eskarena1---maybe they just got tired of battling one another and called a truce--LOL

lol it was a short truce, Nero just chased Guinness around the room lol. Oh well, normal service is resumed.

haha Guiness has moved to the back of the sofa well out of Nero's way. It appears for tonight, discresion really is the better part of valor

Oh..that's funny...maybe your cat will clout Nero on the nose again,and they'll be another short truce--LOL

hahaha well maybe. However, normal service was resumed soon after the picture was taken, nero chased guinness up on to the sofa, where he spent the next two hours hiding

Probably not peace but acceptance that they can't get away from each other, so glad to see that your family is getting along together, I am sure there will still be fights but good to see that put the fights away long enough to sleep together.

it was incredible to see them laying down together. Just before this picture, Nero licked Guinnesses ears lol

Seems to me as if a truce has been declared. Guinness has hick back to Nero and he wouldn't do that if he was afraid.
