It's been about a million years since I've downloaded music. (Napster was still free, for goodness sake!) I was just wondering where people download their tunes now. Can anyone help me?

ive found a free site that is still good for dl ing and draw all my music off there. Look at it this way. My blank cds cost me £10 for 50. That works out at 20p per unit. Even with an excessive profit margin, the unit cost is less than £1. So why do cds cost so much in the shops? who is stealing from whom? I feel no guilt and will continue to dl my music for free until the unit cost of cds in the shops is less than £1 each blessed be

....and then artists will be paid peanuts. like they aren't taken advantage of enough aready without people like you trying to take down an industry and in the process taking out the people who actually deserve to get the money. cds cost more because there are more sodding tracks on them which have had alot of creative input put into them. how would you feel if you got almost nothing for songs YOU made and put months, maybe even years into creating and perfecting them?

could not agree more, someone needs to be having a word with corporate buisiness to stop ripping us all off, then i might stop ripping them off and everyone is happy

Well, don't blame the artist for what the big companies charge. When you "steal" their music you are stealing from the artist. I don't mind paying for my downloads. Actually, it's better than buying CD's--because the money is supposed to be allocated for the artists.

I download songs from my multiply account. I search from other users library. It's like sharing what you've got and being able to download what you want. I like searching from this site since it usually comes by album of the artists.

Limewire.com is a shared source for music. It's safe as I've used it for over a year. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Thank you "yampa" (that's how my dd#2 says grandpa!) I'll go check it out. Having 80's music withdrawls. Pathetic, wouldn't you say?
