name origin/meanings

when my husband and i named our son i picked out the first name which is rylan and means dweller of the rye land. my husband wanted his middle name to be treize which he says is japanese; but i can not find the meaning or origin anywhere. Can any one help? do you know the meaning or origin of this name?

I think your husband watches too much Gundam. 'Treize' is the name of one of the villains in Gundam Wing, which is a Japanese show. Maybe that's why he thinks it's a Japanese name. It's a pretty cool name though.
