Typing and the caps lock key

So there I was watching somebody type and I noticed instead of holding down shift and hitting a letter to get an uppercase letter they would quickly hit the caps lock key in order to get the capital letter. It happens so fast i had to watch for awhile to make sure that I was seeing it correctly. So does anybody else type like that? I know I don't, I took a typing class a long time ago to fill up time in high school and type like i was taught, i don't think i could change how I type to hit the caps lock key like that. Although they do it so quick i think it might be quicker than the shift+letter for the uppercase. Do you do anything that is different when you type?

Weird. Like hitting Caps Lock then the letter to be uppercased then Caps Lock again for the rest of the word, pretty much weird. Isn't it harder, or maybe he's used to it. IT could be that their SHIFT button at home is not working and he got used to it. -tagalog blog: http://crazydrunkguy.blogspot.com/

that's exactly how they do it. I think it's harder but in watching them do i think it's just as fast for them to do that as it is for me to hold down the shift key and no, nothing on the keyboard is broken.

Using both the types in proper combination is a good practice. When we required only first letter of word as capital then holding a shift key + letter is a good type because toggle between caps on and off takes more time. And when we required complete word in capital then using caps lock key is a good practice. It helps to increase typing speed.

Oh no! i dont type like that. Oh well, i use caps lock key only for long typed capital letters/words. But to use it everytime im into sentence case, ohh it sucks me up. Why not use the shift key if you were just typing 1 capital letter just like Mike. Just use shift+m then there you are.

I hit the caps lock only when I have to type in all uppercase, otherwise, I press the shift + the letter I would capitalized. I also took typing course as an elective in college so I would say, I type the normal way except when typing the punctuations where I revert to 1 finger typing...lol!

I guess it's the matter of how comfortable you do your typing. For me, I prefer to hold down the shift button if I wanna key in capital letters. However, if I wanna key in a series of capital letters, I would press the Caps Lock key.
