My Auntie is having trouble discussing about the computer specs to be use in her cafe. She said she wanted to buy Intel PC. But the problem is that most of the time her customer will play games on it. Only few people will browse the internet. Thats why Im want to convince her to buy AMD PC. Your response will help me to prove my Aunt that I'm right, INTEL is best for Application while AMD is best for Graphics and Games. I will show her all your reponse here, then we will talk about it.

For me, whatever you think is the best for your auntie's shop, you should follow. coz you are the only person that your auntie can count on. She asked you for help coz he trust you. dont listen to other people, they just give trouble.

I have never seen one to be that much better then the other. Equal processors will operate equally. The AMD is cheaper for the power that you get, but it's the OS that makes a difference. Check the specs of each computer and compare them for what you want the computer to do. I do have one suggestion, if she wants it to be mostly used as an internet Cafe and not for gaming, check out Opera web browser, and it's Kiosk mode. If you set it up that way then you can keep people from doing anything but go to the internet.

Basically Kiosk mode means it will be set up so that the computer can only be used to surf the net, and no other programs besides those used for various viewers will be used. In the help area, and user area of Opera is more information about how to set up Kiosk mode. I was thinking of setting it up for my mother so that she didn't have to worry about a lot of things.

As per me use AMD it is best for graphics and Games, and also it has a good application just like intel. If you want to use the intel, you have to put an extra graphics card for good graphics, intel combination of the mother board and processor will run good, if you are using cyber cafe you have to concentrate on both the speed, good application, and graphics also for games, so Amd will be good as per me, It is good in application and graphics also. just think about it.

Actually, it's been awhile since AMD was the performer in graphics. Intel's Core 2 Extreme X6800, above all others, puts some serious hurt on them. AMD managed to accel in 7 tests; Intel trumped the rest of the field, and they do waaaaay better in power conservation. AMD hogs it up, and still doesn't deliver. Here's the article I refer to: http://techreport.com/reviews/2007q1/cpus/index.x?pg=1

You're very welcome. I didn't know about this until awhile back, when someone posted it on CNET. All I knew was that Intel makes better cache than AMD, and that's always a good thing. :) Salute!
