This is a topic that has seemed to plauge the world. Is Wal-Mart a virus that is killing american buisness or your friend? Yes they offer low prices but for what cost? So their the largest employer in the world, but the place ruins most of it's employees lives. They get awards for being good humanitarians and doing good for the communities, but they do nothing with their racism and sexism red book procedures. What do you think?

I have some very mixed emotions about WalMart. I have both friends and family members who work at WalMart, and I shop there regularly. So, on a personal level, I think they are basically good. However, as far as the economy goes, I feel it is a double edged sword. Granted, their usage of imported goods from countries like China and India has really boosted the economies of those countries, but by the same token, it has put many American companies out of business simply because they cannot manufacture their products for less than the overseas manufacturers are selling to WalMart. this is a sticky subject for a lot of people, and one that probably won't be resolved for several more years. I do believe that once the global economy stabilizes, that things will improve worldwide.
