Yeah definitely i agree. I was hurt very badly by my first love but for some reason i still wanted to be with him. I ended up taking him back twice. Then i realized he would never change.

Yeah but when your that in love with someone its hard to see that. You dont see any of their faults, and you dont see that they are doing any wrong. Eventually you have to stop and ask yourself when enough is enough.

I can totaly realte to this song, the first cut is pretty bad and so is the second and third as well, and after everything is said and done is can still be hard to move on. I have been divorced for about 11 or 12 years now and still have trouble taking new realtionships to that next level because I am afrid of being hurt again, that is something I do not wish to ever go through again.

Definitely one of my favorite love songs.. especially when I can recall the girl who broke my heart.. and shattered it into pieces. I think it was 4 or 5 years ago. As gay as it is, I really cried.. lol.. so much. And even if I have already found someone better than the first, I can still differentiate.. That truly, first cut is the deepest. :c

i too agree, coming back to the song-i prefer the number by ROD STEWART, though the lyrics are the same.
His voice is fuller and more soothing, besides his track sounds more romantic than the one by sheryl crow

I guess so too..
I mean yah, we all get hurt and i guess the very first start is the hardest and hurts the deepest...
but after that, we might or not recover...
we might or not get immune to it...
for me, it took me two years to get over my first love...
so is it deep enough?

but yah, i learnt alot too...
from my bf and from his dishonesty ways...
n friends and family who stood there for me...
=)
