Taking Birth Control Pills is safer or not??

One of my best friend has taken birth control pills for 2 years because they wants to settle down first and then plan for a baby and now she stopped taking them..will this effect her any which ways, I am very much worried about this...ple provide us with some information ..If you are a Doctor please provide us with complete details. Thank you so much! They are planning to have a kid in near future ...

I heard from my friend that pills are quite safe to prevent pregnancy, but maybe give some affect to the woman, maybe for the skin or the body shape, different person are different affect.
And if will be back to normal if your stop to use that pills, and you can be pregnant again.
I think that is what I knew about that. I never try it.
