I feel we should choose a coach that is best for indian team whether he is foreigner or indian. I feel in today's times we need a coach who is good at coordinating with the players, acts as bridge between seniors and juniors as team, treats everyone equally. Is a good at man management so that team gels well together. Then he should be motivator so that he can give the right advice to players individualy and collectively as team so that he can get best out of players, so that they can deliver when it matters. Besides he should be tech savvy so that he uses latest software, video analysis to correct flaws that might creep in the technique of players. He can't coach 25 or 30 year old player but give them tips which can help him improve his game. Besides communication is the key coach should be able to get players to know what is exactly expected of them.

i do not think india need any foreign person to teach us how to play cricket.we have players like kapil dev, sandeep patil, madan lal etc. who can don india cap and work more dedicatedly than what a foreigner could do.

yes i agree with u that player like kapil and ravi have that ability to coach india more then any foigner they can do there job more dedicately but we all have to accept that only dedication toword work will not solve the problem we need technology to improve our game plan and i think indian coach dont have that mordern technologycal support that player from aus. or england use and offcource only technology cant can`t change the performance of the player so i guiess what we need in our new coach is the dedication as well as perfect use of technology...

We do not need any foreign coach I guess.I do not think coach can do anything if the players are not interested to play well. They have to play well the coach has to just show the path.

I really do not think that India need a coach at all to improve upon their performance. I think they just need a good manager. They are matured enough to teach the technical skills. I think a standard team with a good captain can do the trick. It is not the matter of foreign or indegenous coach.
