I try to do all my friends discussions first, then if I see something interesting I'll answer to it.

yes mine are like that also, I will usally reply to friends post or I will answer some questions from the people that have answered mine

The discussion has to be presented in a well thought out and quality manner. It cannot be a simple discussion that is going to draw in a one word or one line response. The discussion itself has to not be against any of the rules on mylot, or I won't waste my time responding so I know my response will not be deleted when their discussion gets deleted. I like to respond to discussions that are thought provoking and engaging, where it actually promotes the purpose of this forum--to discuss something, not make a statement and move on. If you take the time to write something engaging, then I can take my time to give you an equally thought out response, providing I have an understanding of the topic. Because you know, there are many people on mylot that have no clue what the topic is about and will go to some online site and copy and paste a plagiarized snip of text to respond with, so you have to make sure you check out the responses you do get. I like to talk about parenting issues and styles, military dependent life, married life, politics, latest news stories, travels, and more.

Mainly the question a discussion offers, if it's interesting to answer to I'll answer to it. Although I mainly reply to discussions with no responses yet so it misses out on some that way as well, making random chance play a factor in it as well to what I answer.
