Do you think truckers should have their own lane

This issue is being studied in the State of GA. I think its a great idea because I think trucking accidents compare to other vehicles are more severe. I don't think the truckers are the cause of most of the accident problems and studies have shown they are not. What are your opinions on this matter?

As a former truck driver this would be a really good idea.
There are a lot of drivers that don't seem to realize that trucks cannot stop or maneuver as well as a car can, and often put themselves in a position that they shouldn't.

Actually, the U.S. Interstate system was funded mostly by the Department of Defense. The point was so that Military convoys and Over the Road trucks could get from one part of the country to another faster. It isn't the trucks and military getting in the way of private traffic, but private traffic getting in the way of truckers and military.
So the question should be, "Do you think all the lanes of an interstate highway should be stripped from the Truckers so the private vehicle drivers won't get frustrated while being in the way?" ;~D
