Are long term forecasts EVER right?

This past weekend my boyfriend and I were planning on going back country camping but due to several factors, including the weather, we opted not to go. If only those other factors hadn't come into play, we probably would have been good to go. They predicted temperatures reaching 0 degrees celsius in the evenings, and possibly snow on Sunday all the way up until Friday night when I last checked. The actual weather this past weekend? Overcast but warm on Saturday, sunny and beautiful all day Sunday, overcast on Monday. No snow. A small amount of rain on Saturday and that was it. This next weekend they're predicting warm, sunny, hot weather throughout and I'm contemplating having a garage sale, but if the long term forecasts in the recent past have proven anything it's that the weather will be the opposite of what they predicted, so we'll probably get snow. Have you ever noticed this? Do meteorologists actually go to school for this? I think I might be more accurate just guessing.

I think forecast never right, and I never believe it . if I plan something, I will listen forrcast but will not follow it. I will choose several days for my plan and several plan for weather change, so no matter what kind of weather happened, I will have my plan. then it is not a problem for forecasts. maybe you can have different plan for your life and you can choose one when the day come, different weather, you can choose different plan. hope you have a good luck with your plan.
