Do You Use LOL ?

Jusr recently, I have come across several words that
are composed of several letters only and which actually are phrases denoting something in a sort of short-cut method. The most used as per my observation is LOL. I have come across this word many times already at several discussion sites and here at Mylot and just recently have come to realize it stands for Lots Of Laughter Or Laughing Out Loud. Another one which is not too commonly used is COOL which means Crying Out Of Laughter and BTW which is short for By The Way. Are you a user of these short-cut phrases ? Do you use it more often than not? Do you knew of some other short-cuts and their meanings ?

i use shortcuts sometimes. i use LOL and BTW coz its easier that way. before it was very awkward for me to use LOL coz it has a different meaning here in our place. its the shortened form of ULOL which literally means crazy, demented, brain-damaged, etc. it's also oftentimes used to described a dog gone crazy. ^__^ but i've been using it coz its an easy way to say that i am laughing out loud. ^__^

really? we must be both filipinos then. coz LOLO is also grandfather here. But not LO'-LO'. i dont think we have that here. ^__^
