I think you should be in a better position to decide what is best for your wife. Ask her directly what she wants and get it for her. I am sure she will not want anything. lol. Frankly speaking, my suggestion is very simple. I think she would love a day off for herself. Give her a rest day on her birthday. If she is working, apply for leave on her behalf. If she is a housewife, get her out of the house, go shopping, go spa, go where-ever she like, forget about the housework, forget about the cooking and washing. Treat her to a romantic dinner follow by a slow stroll by the beach, hand in hand, relinquishing the times before marriage. Hey, what nonsense am I talking.... Hope I am not too late with my suggestion. Wish you have a good time with her :)

Yes, this is one of the best suggestion...I was also thinking on the same lines....that I should directly ask her what would she like to have. She is a working wife and by the way...no leave has been granted to her due to exgencies of work. Romantic dinner is a wonderful and catchy idea. sorry, there is no beach here in Delhi, India...cannot take her to beach for a walk. Thanks for your suggestions and wishes. deepak

Hope by now you have already planned how to celebrate with her. Just do what you feel like doing. It's sincerity that matters. Help me convey my regards to her. Wish her happy birthday.

LOL how about a gift card to a place she likes? Like if she gets her nails done, then to her favorite nail place. Or a hair salon where she could get her hair done, or a massage or something. Or cash! I always like getting cash although it isn't very sentimental! How about taking her out to eat at her favorite place? OR maybe a bracelet or a new watch if she likes stuff like that. Hope this helps. Let us know what you decide!

Happy birthday to your wife and sorry this is late. Does she like to get pampered? i.e. massage, manicure, pedicure or a spa and facial? Hope you find something nice for her and I'm sure you will.

Well first of all i wish her a happy birthday my friend, now i would love more information about the both of you, how many years you are married, what is her personality like and so on, to start and suggest a birth day gift for her. I know that every women would love a jewelery and a few days vacation, so that is what i am suggesting.

Lira, more I read the replies...more my belief becomes firm that this world is full of wonderful and intelligent and caring friends, and you of course one of them. Thanks for conveying your wishes. No body asked me how long I have married... for how many years I have celebrating her B'Day ...because choice of gift will depend upon the number of years of (understanding) marriage. Thanks for your suggestions.

How about a romantic candelite dinner with her favorite foods, followed by a wonderful, relaxing, full-body massage with essential aromatherapeutic oils? If you don't do the massage, a professional massage therapist might do the trick just fine. That, plus chocolates and flowers, and you might just be good to go.

love her like never before... - i wish her a happy birthday.
hi deepak, firstly pls congratulate her on my nehalf, pls do. now, coming to the query, i think, you are best person to decide, we can only open avenues for you. buy the thing she likes and that fits your budget. (that could be anything clothes, jewellery, art pieces, books or even a diamond.) take complete leave from work anf myLOt and hang around with her doing the things she likes you to do and not doing the astuffs she dioesn't like but you don't listen to. you can take charge over the house hold and let her relax for the day. i the evening take her out to dine somewhere she likes or you can go for a long drive and talk out your heart. tell her how much you love her and how has she changed your life. i know, we don't get to talk all this things all the time but it feels great. i am sure she will love it. enjoy the day and pls donot log in to myLot, i am sure she doesn't like you doing internet. LOL.. so, see you on 25th with lot to hear from you. good luck!!

Okay this one won't be so timely - but next time a sweet gift is to create your own gift certificates. Like a massage anytime she wants. Or maybe one for her to redeem for kisses. Or even to do the dishes. Or a night out. Be creative - I love this idea and have given these and have always wished to be given them. It worked out great when I gave it out.

The dinner idea is so romantic. Not sure if you and your spouse have children, but it might also be nice to give her the day off from full time mommy duty, so she can go get a manicure or enjoy a day of beauty at a salon. Something girly is nice especially if she doesn't get to indulge in that kind of thing very often. Or, maybe she would have the day to do something just by herself that she has been talking about lately. I know how much time off means to me. Does she have any favorite craft hobbies? Maybe new supplies for a project she is working on. Scrapbooks of family memories are always nice, but they take months to prepare. maybe next time! Happy birthday to your wife. Best of luck on your gift hunt.

A great birthday gift would be time, give her time for the next 365 days, for the next year, and say I love you to her and mean it, everyday for 365 days quantity time is also as important as quality time. since time is the only gift that would be priceless, since no one can buy back time

Hello Dpk262006, I hope I'm not too late to make my suggestion. Also, a very Happy Birthday wish to your wife. I do not know what type of woman your wife is, yet I've known very few ladies who wouldn't appreciate a day of pampering. Being a lady myself ... this is one of my favorite gifts to receive. Do you have a 'day spa' locally? Where she could get a massage, manicure, pedicure salt wrap, etc...? If so, this is a great gift certificate idea. You would also have to present her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, or a single perfect rose. In other words, something concrete,to accompany the gift certificate. If you're short on cash, an equally special gift is to make her a nice dinner, pick up that single perfect rose, and give her an I.O.U. (I owe you) for a massage to be performed by you at the time of her choosing. This could end up being a gift from you AND to you, if you know what I mean (wink, wink). I hope she has a very special day tomorrow, and that you get great satisfaction out of making it a special day for her.

Hi dpk262006, you could prepare breakfast for your wife and wish her happy birthday early in the morning or you could take her to a nice restaurant and give her flowers with a romantic card. Anyway that's my suggestion. Happy birthday to your wife.

Since you don't say how old she will be or how much money you can afford to spend, stick to something sentimental that will hold some meaning for her. As a woman I can tell you that these things matter much more than expensive gifts. However, if you do want to buy her a piece of jewelry, keep it simple and choose something that will resonate with her like a birthstone. You can always buy her flowers if there is something that she really likes such as red roses, but whatever you do, buy her a special card and let her know how much she means to you. That's the best gift you can give her.

Roses - Birthday Flowers
Well, I believe the best gift and the long lasting is to give her beautiful memories. Create a romantic atmosphere, create a basket full of her favorite things(soap, perfume, jewelry (a Heart locket with your picture engraved), flowers and special pictures of you and your family), tell her how much you love and appreciate her, write her a poem or a letter from your heart. Memories last more than any material gift you can give. Sorry I could not get back to you sooner.

Nobody knows your wife better than you 9except maybe her parents). If she likes extravagant gifts, maybe jewelry or a fancy dinner or night out. If she is stressed or overworked or you just want topamper her a spa day perhaps. If you have kids, maybe a night or day to herself where she doesn't have to focus on anything but herself. A weekend getaway just the two of you?(maybe a local hotel sans kid).If you want to be endearing maybe you can find books already made or make one of your own like a coupon book . Like a this coupons good for 1 uninterrupted bath. Or this coupon is good for one night off of dishes. U can make it pertain to your own lifestyles. Maybe her favorite restaraunt or flowers. Possibilities are endless. Just take what you know and do it. The thought is the most important thing. Good luck, and Happy Birthday to her!
