Is Philippine peso increasing?

The exchange rate is now Php46.00/$1.00 a 6 year highest rate of Peso. but why does ordinary people don't feel the benefit of such improvement? Come visit me at http://kabayan-junction.blogspot.com. Read my post about this issue. See you

i think the philippine peso is not really getting stronger because our purchasing power is not getting stonger.. you can't buy a 1peso pan de sal like before and jeepney ride is not down to 2.50 as i remember before.. what's actually happenning is that the US dollar is weakening because of an impending recession.. we should be happy about it because we can pay off more of our debts. however, since our major source of budget comes from remittances from overseas workers and migrants, the buying power of their relatives are weakening as well.. so unless our standard of living rise, then, no, the peso is not getting stronger in my opinion..

yes,,twe peso value is obviously increasing as we can see in reports..well,some are happy about it but some are not..like me,because my husbands is working abroad and then of course the dollar rate declined..so what's the good in it?..hee..that's life!
