I read this add about a software that can convert your PC into a satellite tv. It said that it wont require any additional hardware like TV tuner card - just download the sofware, and start watching thousands of tv channels in almost all popular languages of the world. The cost is one time fees of $50 - once u purchase the software, u can watch all populat channels of your country and wof world for lifetime. I found out the website and the company is a reputated one. So, I feel tempted! But I have not done any purchase online, so I am skeptical as well. Any advise?

I have some advice, give me the web address and I will check it out for you, Ha,Ha. Without knowing exactly what you are speaking of there is no way of helping you. I purchase things online all the time. I am tempted to say that "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is." But I can not say this for sure, because I have no idea what you are talking about. Although, there have been a lot of good deals from cable services lately, make sure that this one is legal and that there are no hidden cost. Read the fine print.

I have checked most of them out. They promise quality content TV over the internet. My experience after trying them out is that there are a lot of channels but most of them are worthless, not even close to the quality channels you get from satellite tv. For example there is a software called "Satellite TV for PC 2007 Elite edition". They promise 3000 channels which is true but there aren't really any good ones. My advice is to be cautious or try some free alternatives like www.tvunetworks.com. There is a good list at www.myp2p.eu/Programs/Overview.htm

Check their credentials first. Find out if they're a legitimate business. Read about them in articles on the net. Even if it is a legitimate company, someone might be posing as that company and trying to take your money. If you won't mind, please share the address of their website so we may check for you too.
