I did! TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate the thought that they're using it for that! An indonesian guy named EDDY RAHMAN telling me that he's selling an N95 and I did buy it! I hate the thought that I'm trusting too much. And it didn't hit me once, a FILIPINA GIRL from CAGAYAN de ORO City named JOVELYN PARAGUAS pretended the same thing! THEY BOTH got my money and I doubt what's in their conscience. It's not me who is seeking for revenge. Revenge isn't OUR, IT's GOD's. I have no comment about them anymore:( The experience is just so painful and it's still so recent:(

I had one bad experience with a seller in Florida. I paid using Paypal, but still did not get my money. The seller was a power seller, and eventually Ebay shut him down. I ended up losing around $30.00. Ebay need to have something in place so people are not scam.

at least you managed to get the cheat shut down my case involved thousands of dollars. The investigation turn out that the guy was using multiple accounts from various sources and have managed to up his trust count quite a bit. He scammed a few other including me during the same period that I lost my money. Then he disappeared. Sometimes I wonder if he is still lurking around ebay under the guise of another identity! Thinking about it makes my blood boils!

Oww venshida! That's a traumatic experience! It's good that ebay did something to shut him down. We both can relate to each other in terms of losing. The breakdown is terrible but I'm proud that I was able to recover a little and matured even more. I'm proud about that I'm slowly recovering from the breakdown. I hope you are too!:)

Kooulet, I am really sorry to hear about this. If your purchase was done using ebay and paid with PAYPAL, i see chances of getting your money back. Do a dispute report on both Ebay and Paypal. Nowadays, there is another option sounds something like seller protection or buyer protection upto US$3K. If you are purchasing expensive stuff, u might consider them.

They do? Hmm... must read up more of the TOS in paypal. Been a while since I used e-bay. Now a days, instead of buying from overseas auction sites, i prefer to get from the local site instead. If anything happens, i can still confront the bugger who cheated me!

THANK YOU! I really appreciate that dear! I didn't use paypal :( It's great now that they have buyer protection. I wish they had that before my purchase. I didn't foresee the existence of people who do scam and fraud. I'd better learn now :)

That is terrible, I would like to think that karma all works out in the end. It happened to me once, and thankfully I was able to get my money back and everything. I ordered a pair of supposedly authentic Air Jordans from eBay from a seller in somewhere in New York state. I got the shoes, only to find out they were factory variants, not the originals that I expected. I called him, reported him to eBay and Nike, and was able to be reimbursed for my purchase. It's a joke sometimes, but it's the chances we take. I am much more careful now as to how I buy things online.

REALLY? You're lucky because you received something. The hard part in my case because I didn't receive any. I just can't believe that I'm still so immature in dealing with things and I coudn't detect a scam and a not scam. But I've grown already and I'mo more matured this time. I have no plans of buying online anymore :)

I can understand how you feel. I have been thru it before. It is good that you are able to learn from this issue. An expensive lesson, but I would think one that is well-spent if you managed to learn from it. There is a chinese saying "xiao chai tang zai" -- loosely translated "lose the small money to avert the big disaster" Think of it that way and it will reduce the hurt a little. What is meant to be will be, what is not meant to be, will not be. Think of it as this money and phone is not meant to be yours... and with time, the pain will lessen ;)

Too bad for you! Most Ebayers are honest. I've been trading on Ebay for years, and only had two bad experiences. One guy sent me a crappy sewing machine that didn't work, and when I complained, he made a complaint against me. It was a big hassle to get his comments off my otherwise 100 percent good rating. Then somebody saw I was looking for a keyboard, and offered one from Spain, if I'd only send a check ASAP to a post office address in Spain. Yeah, sure. Maybe you didn't see any bad feedback from these people? Diahni

I have suffered many scams on internet. Have wasted my precious time and some money too. But I don't think there will be any scam on e-bay. Ofcourse there may be fraud people for which we have to be careful and intelligent.

yes and it was by buying a cellphone! So I lost quite a lot of money if I do say so myself. I was on vacation in the Philippines and wanted to get myself an extra phone cause I bought a Sim Card for my stay there. I went to ebay.ph and found one I like and I had great communication with the seller until I made the payment. I had payed her through Globe-Cash and so she instantly recieved it. I have the reciept and everything! I texted her saying payment has been made and was asking her when she would be shipping my phone out. She didn't respond to my text message. I tried calling her and her phone was shut off. I was already a very bad vibe about it. I tried calling her and texting her a couple more times the same day. still nothing. I practically tried contacting her for a WHOLE WEEK but still nothing. So basically she took my money and did not send out the phone. I hated Ebay.Ph for that. And I will never shop at Ebay.ph again when I go back for vacation in the Philippines. I'd rather go hit the malls. I have never had any problems with sellers at Ebay.Com or Ebay.hk though.

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I have been buying stuff on ebay for a number of years now. I have never had a problem. I am careful who I buy from. I always check their ratings and their location. I never buy something that costs a lot.

I just hope you didn't lose too much money! Given the number of people who trade on Ebay, it's quite amazing that people are usually honest. Diahni

I had 3 bad experiences in the past year. Twice, someone listed a motorcycle on my page and just recently, someone listed a car on it. So 3 times I had to change my email and all my passwords...but at least ebay listened to my problem and fixed and reversed the seller fees

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with ebay. I only have bought one item but was lucky enough to know the person selling it from Australia - she is an old school friend, so trusting her was easy enough. I hope you are able to report them somehow and get your $$ back.

You can report this to ebay and they will handle it. If they prove that these people are scamming you then will ban them from selling on ebay. Did you bid on the item? If not, that is proof that you didn't buy it. I would never send these people money if I knew that I didn't buy the item. Please report these people as Ebay is a great community and people like this don't deserve to be on it.

u are not alone. it happened to me a few years back. i have reduced my usage of the site since. the sad thing was, the guy had good ratings... and the deal looked legitimate enough not to raise any suspicions. Paid the fella the few thousand dollars via western union and poof! he was gone! My hard earned money was gone! *snap fingers* just like that! Writing in to e-bay for help is useless. Western Union takes no responsibility either. Even making a police report at the local police station is useless as the money was wired to some butt-a-hole in the states! Till today, I am still cussing that SOB who took my money and never delivered on the goods. What goes round, comes around! His time will come and all his past misdeeds will come back to haunt him! ()*#*)(*@#$@)(!@ SOB!!!

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's happened to me once a few years ago.Luckily it was just €10,- which is around $12-13,- . Two months ago i bought some shoes via Ebay and i knew i could trust that person because she had a shop and all her details were there. People who do that will be punished one day.I'm glad you don't seek for revenge.God will punish them for what they have done.
