Why is there no WORLD IDOL 2?

Why is there no World Idol 2? The one and only one was in Dec 2003. I watched it and really enjoyed it and thought that the winner has such a great voice. Wouldn't a World Idol 2 be awesome??!! I know there are some critics who say it makes the other idols look like losers even though they won the competition in their country. But isn't that the whole idea? To find the BEST?

I have not seen the first one so i dont know much about second one aswell, so who won the first world idolt anyways and perhaps they are not doing it again as they might know as long as i am here no one will going to win so picked me world idol for life time hehehe j/j.
But i do think if something was there like that it should be continuing to see whois the best in the whole world on yearly basis.
