Shaved ice

My youngest daughter found a job today. A friend and her husband own a shaved ice stand in town. They need someone to help their son Brandon run it. Lauren will start this weekend, training to make the tasty treat. I have two favorite flavors...homemade vanilla and banana. Have you ever had shaved ice? They are a bit different than snowcones, much softer and creamer. The juice blends into the ice, rather than all falling to the bottom. If you like this summer time dessert, what is your favorite flavor?

I love shaved ice. We used to have a concession stand and we called it Hawaiian Ice and had a Hawaiian theme. It is so good on a hot summer day. My favorite flavor is strawberry, but I like almost all of the flavors.

I'm allergic to strawberries, so I usually stay away from anything even with the flavor, because I'm afraid that it might have natural flavors or juice or something. I'd hate to have to go to the ER over a shaved ice! I love just about everything with vanilla. Did your stand do the Wedding Cake flavor? I like that too.

No I have never had it before. Sounds like a good job for her though. I hope she enjoys it. Sounds wonderful. Have you tried all thier flavors as of yet? Personally I enjoy rootbeer floats and coke floats. YUMMY

I love shaved ice. I love how soft and creamy it is. I also love living in Texas where a lot of shaved ice places stay open all year long. :) My favorite flavors are Vanilla, Lime and Tangerine. I like to mix them up too. Like Lime Vanilla really tastes a lot like a mojito to me. And Tangerine Lime is really refreshing. I like Chocolate too. It tastes like a tootsi roll. OOOH, I want a shaved ice now. :)

I will take a grape one please. I am glad you daughter got this fun job. I hope everyone is a nice customer. The weather is finally warm enough here for these treats and I hope that one day a stand will open in our town. Wish her lots of luck from the four of us.
