Do you know if it is ok to put bug spray on an infant?

Well it's kind of hard to say still I think, some say it is, others say no. I know some people reccomend Deet free versions, wich is great, if your child is not actually going to be in the grass, or running around (which your infant won't be i'm sure), but Deet-free versions Do NOT protect against Ticks, so as your child gets older, you should switch. You can buy some lower deet sprays, and they are affective. Do not buy the bug spray that's combined with sunscreen, bug spray should only be applied once a day, while sunscreen needs to be applied more often than that. If anything, keep your baby covered with longer sleaves, until they are a little older, we had a great stroller that had a mosiquito netting on it, I loved that. HOpe I helped!

also, I though I would add, as I brought it up, sunscreen should not be applied to a child younger than 6 months, before then, it's best to keep them out of direct sunlight.

You could check into Skin-so-Soft. I'm not sure if it would be alright for one as young as yours though. I don't use it myself so I can't check a bottle for you. My two year old has super sensitive skin so we can't use anything like that on him. (he breaks out if we use the wrong brand of diapers). I've heard it recommended for little ones though, just not sure HOW little. To add on to what the other person said about mosquitos being attracted to bananas, I've also heard that they are attracted to people who have a Vitamin B deficiency.

The bananas is a new one on me but he is still to young for those so I do not have to worry about that. I have looked in to the Skin So Soft and I am still not one hundred percent sold on that one yet. Thanks for the info.

Look for something that is DEET free. Then it's ok. But I would still be really careful.

This is sort of related to the bug spray question, but it's about mosquitos. Mosquitos are attracted to people that have eaten bananas. Not sure why. So, you might want to cut those out of your baby's diet if you are going to be spending time outdoors. Hope that helps.
