Why to wear makeup?

Make-up is not meant to cover the face. It is meant to accent the face. There is one simple idea that I always live by: WORK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE. Everyone has a beautiful face that can be worked with a little make-up. And please ladies, don't cake it on or you'll hide your natural beauty! First apply a foundation to start out the look. Secondly, a blush tone that complements your natural undertones applied to the apples of your cheeks will give you a healthy glow. Eyes are probably the most striking facial feature on most people. You can use a neutral shimmer eye shadow on the lid, black thickening mascara for the lashes, and eyeliner on your top eyelid to create beautiful eyes. For either thin or plump smackers, a light color on your lips that brings out your natural beauty will surely bring a man your way:P Just remember to judge your makeup colors based on your skin tone, warm colors for warm complexions, cool colors for cool complexions. Be sure to top it all of with a thin coat of powder to reduce shine and perfect the look. As soon as you finish these steps, you will be looking wonderful and be ready to go out on the town, or be ready to do whatever it is you desire. You will feel desireable and beautiful at the same time, what more could you ask for? With the right colors, textures and tones, your eyes, lips and face overall will pop so everyone will have to take a second look (for all the RIGHT reasons)! So, will you follow these makeup tips, or will you disregard them? Do you think that makeup accentuates a woman's beauty? Tell all of your opinions.

When I was younger I used to wear makeup quite often, but these days, since I'm in my thirties, I just don't feel the want or need really. I find that if I do wear makeup I'll pay for it with a horrible breakout of acne, so it has to be a very special occasion for someone to see me with "paint" on my face. lol Yes, I do think that makeup can accentuate a woman's beauty, but only if they don't over do it. There are soooo many women out there that just over apply it and I think they look a bit gaudy, but that's just my opinion...to each their own!

Yes, it is true, some woman do have breakouts due to makeup, but it easily could have been your makeup choice. Also, I agree, some women do look a bit gaudy, if they do not know how to apply. But with good application and not too much makeup painted, as you said, on the face, it can look beautiful.

I don't believe in wearing makeup. I never believed in wearing makeup, and I never understood why my mother would put on makeup before going out in the evenings. There is nothing on my face that I wish to change or accent. I am happy the way I am, and I ddon't want to change anthing.

As a man who is sometimes attracted to women wearing makeup, I can say that the most beautiful make up is when I have to look closer a second time to see if there is makeup. As though it is simply light accent to the beauty that already exists.

wow, you guys are all against wearing makeup? i'm surprised...but even if you don't wear makeup, caring for your skin is still important; sunscreen and right facial wasth + lotion/moisturizer will always do you good in the long run. jennifer, i think makeup should be used to enhance your features, too. i put makeup on people for occasions like performance and weddings, and you'll be surprised what difference it makes. in my opinion, makeup is a way of caring for yourself, a way to look more presentable, in a way. xquisite http://www.xquisite.us

I love makeup. I don't wear much though, even because it's not so easy to make it looking good and natural, it demands some effort and time. What I wear everyday is lipstick or lip gloss (or both, depending on the tone of the lipstick), and maybe some green eyeliner, that looks delicate with my skin and eyes tone. When I have a special occasion, when I'm going to a nightclub or something like that, then I save at least 20 minutes to the makeup. I really makes a great difference, and I do agree it accentuates our beauty.

i beleive that women should not wear make up cause it hides their true beauty, and it damages the skin because the pores cant breath

Well, if you wear too much makeup and CAN hide their true beauty, but just a little bit can accentuate beauty. And every woman has different skin types, so naturally, if one woman has damaged skin such as breaks out, it does not mean every woman's will be damaged. Also, if a woman wears the wrong type of brand of makeup for her skin type, she may also get damged or broke out skin. If a woman cannot decide, it is best to go to a beauty store and have the makeup artists help her decide. Although some women will just have damged or break out skin no matter what makeup they wear.

i think its the way you feel about yourself, i love to put makeup, it doesnt mean i go for a heavy makeup, just the few tips, you have told us, that's what i stick too, since in india its too hot , its important to go for loose powder, otherwise the oil on the face really hides your natural beauty, so a light make up, i feel is important here. i always like light make up and i admit always attracted towards them
