Some good qualities in good leadership are, the leader has good speaking and persuasive skills. The Leader is usually courageous, both physical and mentally, willing to take risks, or possesses strengths in one of those areas. They also usually have good war strategies, and act with smarts, good ideas, and have good political experience. Many usually come from a good family backround, or stand up against a bad family situation, possess good character, and are not easily influenced by others in general. Many Good leaders are also known for their Bravery, to stand up for their beliefs, and their good judgement, in knowing the right time in doing so. They are also known to treat everyone equally, and not have favorites. A good leader usually is a good statemen, and is good at foreign affairs, and is hard working. They are also usually very good at accepting new ideas, or are open to new ideas... and are a fluent speaker. - DNatureofDTrain

A good leader must also be a good follower. That person must serve as a good example for the members or group of people being handled. A good leader must also learn to do multi-tasks. It does not mean that a leader is a leader, it will just stick to that. As a person, leaders must understand and must relate with each of his members.

Yes, as a good follower is how one learns to be a good leader. There is a truth I discovered on my own, and it is, if a teacher is truely a good teacher. Their own students will be better at the subject than they were if they really studied, followed, and learned seriously enough. Thanks for sharing. - DNatureofDTrain

You're welcome. And in addition to that, a leader must be humble enough to admit mistakes, yet that person must be assertive in a sense that he must not let others put him under them and as well as he does not put others under him.

The qualities listed and posted by others here are all great and nescessary for true leadership. I would add that a true leader must understand how to serve his or her group and that being a leader means you really ARE a servant to your constituancy. These qualities seem to be woefully lacking in the current political structure of United States career politicians with the exceptions of charisma and oratory skills. The vast majority in power now seem to be nothing more than small minded, self centered, greedy individuals with their own interests at heart. It's my belief and hope that the next generation will step up to the task of leadership with a new paradigm, to faithfully and honestly server the people they lead.

A good leader listen to the people they represent are able to keep their personal and public life separate .For the most part leaders stand for the people they represent and should be their voice to the world .I pretty much agree with the rest accept a good leader does not, unless it is a spiritual leadership , allow the beliefs to keep them from representing all the people .

Hello, dnatureofdtrain ,I think a good leader will alwys be a charming person,no matter he/she does, other people will be affected by him/her greatly, even it is a small conversation, other people will also be convinced, the leader should have strong influening power. He/she should be confident and should stand up for own beliefs even being challenged by everyone. The ability to keep calm in every situations is also important,if the leader is nervous when in trouble, how can other people have conidence on him/her and follow the instructions.

A political Leadership, that means the whole world is watching every step of him. The Oath he takes is his backbone and this supports his day to day duty. A bomb blast, train cash, earth quake, all natural disaster is the leaders concerned. Leadership in different fields, should be well aware of your duties and performance to be positive. Not a looser.
