Paneer special - Peshawari Paneer Tikka.....

Hi friends, i want to share the paneer special - Peshwari Paneer Tikka with u all. Peshawari Paneer Tikka Ingredients: 120 gms paneer cubes 1/2 tbsp Kasuri methi (Available in stores) 5 tbsp yogurt 4 tbsp Kaju Paste 1/2 tsp ginger paste 2 tsp melted white butter Chaat masala, to taste 1 tsp salt Method: To make tandoori masala, mix all the ingredients other than the paneer cubes and chaat masala. Then, cut the paneer cubes in 3-4 pieces. Keep the paneer dipped in tandoori masala for atleast half an hour to soften it. After the paneer has been marinated well in the tandoori masala, put it in the tandoor for about 7-8 minutes. Garnish with chaat masala and Serve. Have a nice day, keep smiling friends........

I like Paneer Tikka. I had it at my favorite indian place yesterday actually. Here's a recipe that I thought was pretty easy. 1 large block of Paneer, cut into thin horizontal slices, about 1/2 inch thick. For marinade: 1/2 cup curd (yoghurt) 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp cumin powder 2 tsp tandoori powder 1/2 tsp sugar 2 tsps ginger garlic paste 1 tbspn minced coriander leaves 1/2 tbsp minced mint leaves 3 cups of vegetables( bell peppers, red onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots) 2-3 tsp chat masala Method Mix together all the ingredients for the marinade with some salt and set aside. Cut the veggies into juliennes and add the chat masala and remaining marinade(if any)to them. Brush the marinade on the paneer slices and refrigerate for 2-3 hrs. Heat some butter/oil and fry the paneer on both sides till well done. Alternatively, you can brush each paneer piece with some oil and bake in a 350 deg f oven till done. Heat some oil and stir fry the veggies till they are crisp. Just like the paneer, you can alternatively bake these in an oven till they are done. In a platter, arrange the paneer slices in the middle and place the veggies around it. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve hot.
