Would you rather give up the internet or television?

The internet has became such a huge part of almost everyone's daily life I thought I'd pose the question. If you had to make the choice of having either the internet or television in your life.... what would you choose? I think it would definitely be the internet for me!

I would prefer to give up the television, I don't think I could live without the internet. If I lost the internet, then most of my social life would be gone.

It definitely does get like that. I think it's really great how interactive the internet is... you just don't get that with television!

Its already been said, but I will repeat that I would give up TV faster than I would give up the Internet. Again any show I watch is available on the web to view at the broad cast websites, and what isn't I can download. But actually that does not take the place of lying on the couch and flipping through the channels just to relax either. But if I had to give one up it would be TV.

I'm with you! Perhaps we could team up and invent a couch that you can lay on with a monitor on one of the arms and a cordless keyboard and mouse... that'd be kinda cool!

If I had to choose, I'd give up television before I'd give up the internet. I love being able to explore the world from the comfort of my living room. With television I have to accept that I am a passive viewer, whereas on the internet, I am in control of what I do.

Let's put it this way. This would be my last post, I have T.V. shows to see.Not only can I see the few t.V. shows I like, I can see football, yours and mine, hockey, and baseball. And most of all , my t.v. is hooked up to my VHS and a DVD so I can see movies.

I'd choose internet as well. There was the time when we couldn't buy new TV's as the old one had an early retirement while slamming and knocking as an old method of get things fixed...didn't work anymore. So, we have to switch the internet to TV's once in a while. And it worked just fine. I'll do it again if I have to.

I think its better if you ask to give up either TV or COmputer because we can have Television on internet connection. If we want to compare two things then they must be compariable but in this case one is a object and the second one is a service.

I would most certainly choose to keep the internet. I don't watch enough TV to even warrent owning one! Our TV is seldom on! I suppose I could always go to a friend's house to watch an all=important ballgame or something if I had to give up my TV! Ha!

I could easily give up the television since I rarely watch it anyway. Most things I would use the television for are readily available on the internet anyway. It would be very difficult, if not impossible for me to give up the internet since much of what I do in life, from banking, to shopping, to research, and more, is on the internet.

I would much rather give up the television - in fact much of my time spent online is in attempt to avoid that noisy box in the living room!

now in this century i give more preferance to internet. i dont watch televsion from past few years. it's of no use for me. i browse through net, if i need any entertainment i will get through internet only. it had changed the life of several people. and every one use net for any information that they want to know. most of them are addicted to net. and they feel uncomfortable if they dont browse daily. how about you?

Internet for sure! *laughs* Because I have to access to the internet to keep in touch with my boyfriend and other friends in my life. Besides I think most of the television stuff can be accessed by internet, sometimes it's free and sometimes it's not. And for me, I personally don't want television that much. I enjoy being interactive rather than passively sitting there and receiving the messages. I don't think I have switched on my TV for more than 10 minutes each week *laughs*.

I'd definitely not let go of the internet. I'm not much of a TV fan to begin with, but if I do want to watch TV shows I can easily find them on the internet anyway.
