where do we go after we die?

What happens to us? I have a good religion and i have my beliefs, but I still wonder. I have this wierd view. That maybe itis like the movie 'The others' where we go on living in a different demention or ti,e era. Right along side others.And yet maybe we live in the same houses and never know it. That when we die, it is like just waking up as a new baby or something. I know that is wierd and twisted.But what do you think? Any wierd ones like mine?
